Guided Gardners Club

The "Guided Gardeners" Club at Dandelion Dreams offers our preschool children a unique and enriching hands-on experience in our very own garden. This special program is designed to connect young learners with nature and deepen their understanding of where our food comes from. Each child in the "Guided Gardeners" Club will have the exciting opportunity to take responsibility for their own garden bed, choosing what they would like to plant and nurturing it throughout the growing season.

Under the guidance of our educators and with the help of local gardening experts who visit our facility, children will learn essential gardening skills and the basics of plant life cycles. These experts will provide engaging lessons tailored to preschoolers, covering topics such as planting, soil health, water conservation, and the importance of pollinators.

Throughout the season, children will actively participate in every stage of the gardening process. They will plant seeds, observe the growth of their plants, forage for herbs and vegetables, and eventually harvest their crops. Through this immersive experience, children will develop a deeper appreciation for the natural world, learn about the origins of their food, and gain a sense of accomplishment as they see their garden beds flourish.

The "Guided Gardeners" Club not only fosters a love for gardening but also encourages responsibility, patience, and teamwork among our young learners. It's a wonderful opportunity for children to engage with the environment, develop life-long skills, and experience the joy of growing their own food.
